Today at work a woman came in with a kid that had down syndrome, i have in the past looked after a down syndrome child 1on1 at a summer camp that was run by my local YMCA. I found it a very satisfying experience and i loved helping these children have the best experience possible and allow them to integrate with ‘normal’ children.

This brings me to what happened today, this kid had a ‘flip cam’ a handheld video device and he liked films and filming. Now as i have my own production company that i am desperately trying to make work it made me think how wonderful it was to meet this little fella ! He was so into the filming and was taking footage of all sorts of things and i guess it was part of his learning tools but i was really touched by it and made me want to work more with charities in my video work capacity….. thanks for listening x
